The DRISHAC is the workhorse of the system, it provides the operations modules that perform all the tasks that are needed on a seaweed farm.
The system is modular and the operations can be pipelined if needed. This means that in locations where it is viable, the whole system can ble harvested, cleaned and re-seeded all in one operation. Any combination of modules is possible, which makes the whole system extremely flexible.
Every part of the DRISHAC is designed to minimize the contact the equipment makes with the substrate, and to damage the seaweed as little as possible. The system is especially well suited for northern latitudes or exposed locations where biofouling over the summer is less of a problem, and regrowing of crops is possible. Since the substrate is part of the permanent installation, there is no deployment, just leave some seaweed on the ropes and let it grow out next season, it's as simple as it gets.

The Drive Unit
This is the beating heart of the DRISHAC. Hydraulically powered belts with a specially designed contact system grip the rope firmly. The belts pull the rope through the system in a steady motion while the other modules perform their tasks. This allows for uniterrupted work to be performed until the loop rope comes back to where it started from.
Rig
The other modules are mounted in series with the drive unit on a rig. The system only takes a crew of three people to operate.
The DRISHAC system can be mounted on a floating platform like a raft, or rigged to go on a boat.
